Was OnlyI stopped at the cemetery before the two-hour drive back home this morning and found a beautiful deer staring at me not twenty feet from my car.  She slowly walked off into the woods as I opened the door.  She was out of sight by the time I began to make my way down the muddy path to see the shared grave of Mom, Dad, and my brother.  I glanced back one row and looked over the graves of my aunt, uncle, and cousins as well.

I closed my eyes, trying to remember the burial of my brother and first cousin, but it's been fading further and further away from me.  I remember the back room of the funeral parlor much more clearly.  Dad was asking me ov

i chatted a little with [a friend], he seems down
[he] can't find the inspiration to draw
i told him i wish we could all hang out and talk
and i'd draw with him
and then i said that's what sucks about the internet. . . that it's a few steps from reality
but i didn't mention that's also what i love about it
and it kinda goes along with what i was saying earlier
i remember how fascinating it was when the internet was new, before i even went on it
wow, i can be whoever i want to be
but no
in the end, it's always just. . . me
little random pieces of me scattered about
making me feel lost

You know, one of my art teachers once told me that if you can't get past an art block, draw like a kid again and don't worry how it looks. And to be honest, I really like this. :)
